About Jefkins Art and Design

Hi there!

My name is Isabella and I am a woman of many talents. I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer. I work with both traditional and digital materials in my artworks. I sometimes like to combine digital with traditional materials to create the look I am trying to get. My digital illustration style is realistic and minimalistic. I want to show off the natural shapes of things without going into full detail in order to create a different look. My traditional paintings, however, are done in a realistic style that does show the details. 

A lot of my artwork is inspired by the landscape around me.  I was born and raised on a beef farm on Manitoulin Island, the largest freshwater island in the world.  Aside from illustration, photography and designing, I also love to draw and paint, specifically with watercolours, acrylics, and fine line pens. In my paintings and drawings, I usually specialize in landscapes and florals. When I'm not sitting at my desk working on a project, you'll likely find me outside soaking up some sun and playing with the barn cats. 

I have already done some freelance work for a few different clients. I have designed a brand's logo, painted an advertisement mural for a small business, and have been commissioned to do watercolour paintings for several people. 

I am currently a graphic design student at Canadore College. In the two years I have been here, I have learned so many new and interesting things. I have also created my brand, Jefkins Art and Design, to share my artworks and expertise with people around the world. With my knowledge and experience, I am excited to see what the future holds for me. And, Hopefully that means getting to work with you!
